We are offering an exceptional opportunity for a PROTOTYE ENGINEER.
We have been providing pioneering technologies and products to our customers worldwide for a number of years now, out teams are accomplished teams of experts, highly specialised in the development, industrialisation and production.
You may already be a toolmaker, who is looking to expand your skillset into different areas, or already enjoying being a Prototype Engineer, who is looking for a fresh challenge. You will be responsible for building prototype parts and jigs for pre-production aswell as design and build of test rigs.
Commutable from Birmingham, Redditch, Studley, Stratford Upon Avon, Hollywood, Solihull, Kingswinford and Moseley

Prototype Engineer Responsibilities:
- Build prototype part and jigs for pre=production
- Design and build test rigs
- Run test programs
- Design and manufacture of life cycle testing apparatus
- From design brief, turn into a working item
- Creation of prototypes, prototype / production fixtures and checking aids
- Use of air ramps, hydraulic assisted rigs, basic electronic components, and many other tools
- Support the team with 3D prototype printing and scanning
Prototype Engineer Requirements:
- It is essential that you are able to operate manual drilling, milling, grinding machines and lathes
- CNC knowledge would be beneficial but not essential
- You must be able to set and operate handpresses and punches
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and CAD models
- To have an understanding of metals, plastics and component tolerancing including tolerances stack on multiple components and assemblies
- Good computer skills
