Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Graduate to work at a large secondary school in the Ashford area as a Teaching Assistant. As a crucial member of the faculty, you'll have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of the students while gaining invaluable experience in the field of education. The role is full time to start in September and will be until the end of the academic year - daily rate of between 83.33 and 100 depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging maths lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning styles.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students who may need additional support.
  • Lead small group activities and workshops to reinforce classroom learning.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience and empathy when working with students of varying abilities.
  • A genuine passion for education and helping others succeed.
  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
  • Hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
