This one is a unique role, most commonly found in the big city centres on London, New York, Tokyo, but on this occasion in a small town in Devon.

Great environment, teamwork and mission to build world class software.

The role

To design and build a new SaaS product. Python in the backend and with emphasis on really great data visualisation at the front end.

You'll have support, but freedom to design a great product.

Your application will need to interface with an existing computational framework, making it easily accessible to non-developer end-users.

This entirely greenfield project offers an opportunity to have a significant influence regarding the choice of technologies to be used, rather than inheriting an existing code base.

The team operates with a flat organizational structure with few formalities so this role will be expected to make critical decisions autonomously with minimal input.

The skills we are looking for

  • Strong full stack engineering experience - python and javascript
  • Adept at data visualisation
  • Some experience designing and building a web application from scratch
  • Ideally degree or equivalent in a related topic
  • Ideally some knowledge/experience or interest in investment banking and financial trading

The opportunity is open ended, the people are very intelligent and highly trained in their fields. You can make this job whatever you wish.
