We're looking for a Senior Manager who, as a part of the team, will support internal audits across the Investment desks.

The team
The role of Group Internal Audit is to provide independent and objective challenge to, and assurance over, the Schroder Group's control environment through effective evaluation of risk management, control and governance arrangements implemented by management.
The department is led by the Head of Group Internal Audit who has a primary reporting line to the Chairman of the Board Audit and Risk Committee, with a secondary line to the Group Chief Executive. The Internal Audit Senior Manager will report to the Head of Investment Audit. The Head of Investment Audit's team has responsibility for the execution of a range of audits, including across investment desks in various locations.
What you'll do
Support the delivery of audits as allocated by the Head of Investment Audit
Planning and scheduling audits with the business, as directed by the Head of Investment Audit
Ensuring work completed and outputs produced adheres to relevant professional standards and the function's procedures manual
Attendance at exit meetings, where required
Ensuring that issues identified by Internal Audit are escalated to appropriate levels of management on a timely basis
Managing the tracking of issues and actions arising from internal audit work
Ongoing liaison with relevant management across Schroders to maintain awareness of key developments
Involvement in special projects and investigations as required
Support the Head of Investment Audit in the performance of their duties, and substituting as necessary.
Provide input to the governance and direction of Group Internal Audit.
Provision of data in relation to control activities to support business development by Schroders
Maintaining the relationship with internal audit co-source suppliers and ensuring the work performed is in accordance with Group Internal Audit standards.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- Experience of internal audit within the financial services industry.
- An audit, accountancy or related qualification (ACA, ACCA, CFA).
- Demonstrable experience of managing a portfolio of audit projects.
- Strong understanding of investment or trading businesses (such as investment bank trading desks, brokerage businesses, asset management investment desks) and their associated risks and key controls.
- The ability to work effectively with senior business staff and management.
- Understanding of the UK regulatory environment.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Ability to travel in the UK and overseas for up to 30% of your time.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
Experience specifically within the asset management, wealth management or private banking industries.
English is essential as language. The knowledge of other languages used within Schroders group will be considered to be an advantage.
