The CrewHQ Trainee Programme provides a pathway into a career in film and TV production. Based on site at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, home to some of the biggest productions made in the UK such as The Batman, Barbie and Wonka, this programme will give you:
Behind the scenes access to Warner Bros. Discovery film and TV productionsTraining from amazing industry expertsChance to interview for paid placements on Warner Bros. Discovery productions currently filmingNetworking opportunities with crew This entry-level opportunity primarily deals with organising data and records of expense claims, purchasing cards, purchase orders, accounts payable invoices, and general production documents. The accounts trainee helps assistant accountants and production accountants maintain accurate records of how the money on a film or TV drama is spent. As well as tracking expenditure on goods and services, the production finance department is also responsible for ensuring the crew get paid, and the trainee role may support the payroll team with collating timesheets, filing, and liaising with the crew. The trainee will also support the accounts department, liaising with other production departments for information and ensuring audit compliance requirements are met on documents prior to being digitally filed. What you will gainA place on this programme includes training in the bespoke CrewHQ centre, based at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, to prepare you for work and give you support, awareness and skills in the following areas:
Set etiquette and resilience training for life on productionUnderstanding key paperwork and terminologyGuidance on how to be a freelancerExploration of entry-level roles and career pathways across many different departmentsCV preparation and interview practice All trainees will be supported by our CrewHQ team with guidance as well as financial support for training travel and accommodation costs. Eligibility criteriaApplicants must be:
Over 18 on or before 31 August 2024Not in Full-time education by 31 August 2024Have the right to live and work in the UKHave achieved at least Level 4/Grade C in Maths GCSE or equivalent What we're looking forNumerical skills: You enjoy figures, spreadsheets and dataLoves films and TV dramas: You have a passion for working behind-the-scenes in the industryAn active learner: You learn by observing what's happening and asking questions at the appropriate momentsAble to take instructions: You will follow the instructions of the production account and do what's askedDiscretion: You will be able to be trusted with confidential informationCommunication skills: You will learn how to communicate with the accounts and other departments to learn what is going on in the productionAble to work long hours: You will be working the same hours as the crew who will be working longer than 9 to 5 to make the most of the shooting day The employer reserves the right to close the listing and stop accepting applications sooner than the original deadline.
