Role: Sauna Supervisor

Pay: £20 per hour

The Sauna Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all operations within the sauna facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and enjoyable experience for guests. This role requires a combination of managerial skills, customer service expertise, and technical knowledge of the sauna.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Training: Supervise sauna attendants, ensuring they adhere to operational standards and provide exceptional customer service. Conduct training sessions for new sauna attendants, covering safety protocols, customer interaction, and equipment operation.

Safety and Maintenance: Regularly inspect sauna equipment and facilities to ensure they are in proper working condition. Provide health and safety guidance to guests regarding sauna rocks, potential hazards, and warning guests not to enter the sea. Implement and enforce safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. Coordinate with maintenance staff to address any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.

Customer Service: Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, checking names against booking details, and providing information about sauna services and procedures. Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner. Ensure a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Engage in conversation with guests, maintain a positive demeanor, and show an interest in their experiences.

Hygiene and Cleanliness: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in sauna facilities, including sauna rooms, showers, and changing areas. Monitor sauna attendants to ensure they follow proper cleaning protocols and adhere to health and sanitation regulations.

Inventory Management: Monitor sauna supplies and replenish as needed. Coordinate with the owners of Haar Sauna Ltd to order supplies and ensure adequate stock levels. Manage the water level in the IBC and firelighters, oversee the wood pile and ensure it is stocked for the sauna stove, coordinating or collecting deliveries as necessary. Fill up the log box (2-3 crates per shift), chop enough kindling to fill the kindling box for the next shift, and ensure the tools used regularly are still in the storage boxes (long brush, dustpan and brush, fire poker, fire shovel, hammer, etc).

Sauna Stove Operation: Light and maintain the sauna stove, ensuring proper temperature and humidity levels for an optimal sauna experience. Monitor the sauna environment to ensure it is comfortable and safe for guests. Keep the fire going and check the sauna temperature regularly. Ensure the sauna door is properly closed behind each customer, especially on stormy days. Regularly sweep the wooden boards on the sauna ramp.

Performance Tracking, Reporting, and Invoices: Track attendance, usage statistics, and customer feedback to assess the performance of sauna services. Prepare regular reports on key metrics such as wood stock, water levels, weather forecast, attendance on the day, and customer satisfaction. Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance the sauna experience. Submit an invoice after each shift.
