The Head of Reporting and Planning is responsible for financial reporting, planning, analysis and supervision of the audit.

The role serves as a key member of the European Finance Leadership team and leads a team of 8 based in the UK and Europe.

2.1 Line Management

  • Manage a team of Finance Managers, Finance Business Partners and Management Accountants
  • Provide on the job coaching and ensure development needs are identified and addressed
  • In addition to formal performance reviews, provide regular feedback to direct reports
  • Promote an open and engaged environment where new ideas and initiatives are encouraged
2.2 Investor reporting

  • Drive the month end close process and delivery of monthly and quarterly management reports for properties managed by Yugo in the European regions. Ensure proper analysis of budget variances and drive conformity with best practice including detailed balance sheets reconciliations
  • Ensure the Finance team works closely with Yugo Operations to support their understanding of property financial performance, which in turn allow them to provide insightful analysis to investors
  • Oversee Yugo's involvement in audit processes over property statutory accounts, ensure requests from property auditors are addressed on a timely basis
  • Manage client interactions, explaining financial results and responding accurately and commercially to ad hoc enquiries to build rapport and trust.
  • Able to deal with competing priorities from different customers.
2.3 Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Oversee the preparation of annual budgets and reforecasts for existing properties, and budget for new properties as part of the mobilisation process.
  • Liaise and co-ordinate with Yugo Operations to ensure Finance provides the required support and challenge in these planning processes.
2.4 Financial Analysis

  • Oversee the production of reactive and proactive analysis to provide insights into property performance.
  • Supports business performance by providing cost data to Yugo Operations which allows the team to implement effective cost control measures
  • Develop a suite of relevant KPIs and analyse trends
2.5 Transformation and business changes

  • Participate in relevant projects for finance and business processes optimization.
  • Support mobilisation of new properties or disposal of existing properties where required.
  • Desire and drive to make tangible improvements to optimise accuracy and control.

Essential

  • ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified accountant, with 10+ PQ
  • Line management experience, building and motivating strong teams
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

  • Oracle NetSuite experience
