About the role
We are looking to recruit a Youth Worker to work with 11 to 18 year olds; providing activities, pastoral care, discipleship teaching and evangelistic initiative.

The person appointed will be able to demonstrate their ability in the area of Christian youth ministry. This could be a recent youth ministry graduate, an experienced under 18's Christian worker, or with a teaching qualification. They will have skills and experience that meet the person specification listed in the job pack.

Key responsibilities

  • Youth Ministry: Working as part of the wider youth ministry team to deliver activities for ages 11 to 18.
  • Fusion Leadership: Leadership of appropriate Fusion (school years 7 to 9) activities including Sundays, small groups, Brigades and events for friends.
  • Ignite: Working in the Ignite (school years leadership team
  • Residential Events: Participation in camp, other residential events, and trips where appropriate or required.
  • Pastoral Care of Young People: Discipling and developing caring relationships with young people.

In addition to this role Sutton Coldfield Baptist Church is seeking to recruit a Children & Families Worker. We are flexible and open to considering a range of different approaches for the right candidate(s) on this role, the Children & Families Worker role and/or both.
