Conduct legal research and analysis to stay up to date with relevant statutes, case laws, and precedents that may impact your clients' casesLiaising with Solicitors on cases and collaborate on legal strategyUphold the ethical standards of the legal profession, maintain client confidentiality, act in the best interests of clients, and adhere to the professional rules and codes of conductAssist the Solicitor to provide comprehensive legal advice to clients regarding their rights, potential defences, and the legal implications of their situationFlexibility to support issues that may occur out of hours on a rotational basis. This would be telephone only (one evening 5-8pm or weekend day/evening 10am-7pm)The Role:
The key responsibility of the criminal defence paralegal is to support criminal defence solicitors in their work representing clients who are facing criminal charges.
About you:
At least 1 years' experience of motoring law and defending motoring offences in a client facing role with experience of running your own caseload, both guilty and not guilty pleasLaw Degree (2:2 or higher), CiLEX or equivalent and LPCAt least 1 years' experience using ProclaimYou will have a professional attitude and ability to be empathetic, approachable and non-judgemental of our clients and the allegations they face often including drink driving and drug drivingThis is an opportunity to genuinely progress your legal career with a leading firm who are passionate about developing professionals, with the opportunity to potentially secure a training contract.
