The role sits with the division's Business Development Team, which is the home for the Division's administration support, income generation functions, Marketing and Communications, Systems, and Events Teams and responsibility for enhancing our student and customer experience. The role holder will also be required to have regular meetings with the Performance Sport Manager who has overall responsibility for the delivery of BUCS and is the area budget holder.

The role will require the successful individual to support the BUCS process from the initial registration of teams, to organising fixtures with other institutions, the organisation of facilities and transport for fixtures. The role holder will support the club captains to manage their allocated funding and ensure the clubs captains manage the financial commitments (overspends) in relation to BUCS competitions and events. The role holder also has responsibility to ensure club captains register with the BUCS system (to provide team sheets etc) and will also need to report results to BUCS after all fixtures.

This role requires regular communications with our student club captains and committee members to ensure that they are knowledgeable of the regulations, policies and requirements whilst participating in BUCS competitions. Currently the University of Bristol has approx. 150 teams participating in BUCS leagues and events, across approx. 60 sports.

The role holder will be required to independently handle enquiries from students, be responsible for communicating with third-party providers (BUCS/ Travel providers) and other HE institutions.
