Roles and Responsibilities

  • Working as part of a multi-discipline team, you will be responsible for applying systems engineering process and practice to coordinate system specification, design, integration and verification to satisfaction of all stakeholder requirements, via:
  • Collaboration with Customers to understand and develop their requirements, thereafter decomposing to a set of deliverable system and subsystem requirements
  • Development and validation of requirements for new and existing product baselines
  • Working with product groups to define system architecture, interfaces and design
  • Definition and execution of system integration and verification plans
  • Support to subsystem and aircraft level testing
  • S upporting generation and collation of evidence as needed by Customers and Certification Authorities to verify certification basis and prove the product is safe to flyIn addition to the above, from this senior position we shall be seeking:
  • Sharing of acquired platform and product expertise in the integration of Avionics and/or Integrated Vehicle Health Management into aircraft
  • Estimating of new work, and thereafter leadership and reporting on progress thereof
  • Advocating for safety and operability considerations from the point of specification through to deployment

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge and experience in systems or aerospace engineering
  • Significant experience of operations and installations of rotorcraft avionics equipment

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in leading the application of industry-recognised systems engineering processes (such as ARP4754a) and/or System Engineering principles in an Agile Development environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with confidence and ability to work as part of a globally-distributed customers and teams
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and mentoring skills
  • Demonstrated ability to help others analyse and resolve challenging technical problems
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in rotorcraft health usage, health management and CVFDR systems
