We are looking for a Teacher of Humanities/Social Sciences. This is an exciting opportunity to join Greenshaw Learning Trust / Brakenhale and become an integral member of the Humanities team. We understand the great important that understanding topics on humanities plays in the lives of our students, as they grow to question more around them. We encourage our students to not only find answers, but to ask questions too. The team enjoys working closely together and are looking for someone who will share our ethos and have the love of teaching Humanities/Social Sciences at the heart of all we do. The successful candidate will join a team who are passionate about engaging and inspiring young people in their learning. We are looking to recruit a colleague with both the commitment and relevant skills to drive our raising standards agenda across the whole ability range.

Greenshaw Learning Trust is a highly successful multi academy trust that provides excellent quality, comprehensive, non-selective and inclusive education through primary schools and secondary schools. Main responsibilities:

● To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate

● To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a Teacher/Tutor

● To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to accelerate with their learning

● To contribute to raising standards of student attainment across the school

● To share and support the school's responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth

You will need:

● Relevant degree

● Qualified Teacher Status or be working towards

● Experience of working in a school setting
