Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Advising clients on construction contracts, negotiations, and dispute resolution to minimise risks and ensure project success
  • Conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and providing expert legal opinions on construction-related matters
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to identify legal issues and develop effective solutions
  • Assisting with preparing cases, attending court hearings, and representing clients in construction litigation matters

Requirements:

  • 6 PQE+ in practice within Contentious Construction, within a well regarded firm
  • Solid understanding of construction law, including contract formation, construction defects, liens, and insurance claims
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating construction contracts and managing construction-related disputes
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
