The job itself

We are seeking to appoint a reliable, enthusiastic and caring Lunchtime Supervisor to be part of our dedicated team in our village school. You will have a firm but kind and patient personality. Working hours are 11.45am - 1.15pm, Thursday and Friday (additional hours/days are available if required).

Duties will include:

  • Ensuring the lunchtime environment is safe and enjoyable for all pupils
  • Supervising pupils in the lunch hall, encouraging independence, good manners and healthy eating habits
  • Supervising pupils on the playground or indoors on wet days and encouraging positive play and good behaviour
  • As part of a team, helping to set up and put away lunch tables and chairs (some manual handling and lifting will be required)
  • Attending staff meetings and completing mandatory training as required (eg, safeguarding, manual handling)
  • Working in line with school policies and procedures
  • Adhering to the Staff Code of Conduct at all times
  • Performing other duties as reasonably correspond to the general character of the post and are commensurate with its level of responsibility

The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS clearance and satisfactory references.
