I am looking to recruit an experienced Senior Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer to join a friendly team environment of collaborative staff in Buckinghamshire.
Our client works on commercial, and public financed projects predominantly around South-East England, with some key clients throughout Great Britain.
With a healthy track record for generating repeat business, strong web presence and marketing, They have become a well-respected practice over the last 31 years with an emphasis on excellent customer care and innovative design solutions.
They are actively expanding the practice and are seeking an exceptional candidate to join an already successful team.
Projects cross a wide range of building types and materials, requiring challenging engineering problem solving and creative thinking to deliver solutions on projects.
Projects include the design of new buildings/structures, advice on refurbishment and repair of listed / historic buildings, new build educational, leisure and commercial buildings, alongside exciting modern urban regenerations and developments.
A wide client base ensures they have a continuous workload to enable growth.Requirements for this Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer role include:
- 5+ years' experience working at a senior level, ideally in a small to medium sized practice with a wish to move up in a business to management level.
- Demonstrable people management experience and skills.
- Proven success in business generation within the industry.
- Ability to see projects through from initial brief to completion, often multitasking numerous jobs simultaneously mainly undertaking of detailed forensic building defect surveys and reporting in a lucrative area of business.
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, including report writing.
- A true team player, who is able to work harmoniously with a friendly existing team.
- Strong presentation skills, and excellent customer rapport.
- A confident and competent self-starter who is motivated, hardworking and committed.
- You will have a good track record in structural building engineering design and have experience in the delegation and management of junior engineers, and diagnosing building defects and clearly setting out repair specifications will form crucial part of the work.
You will assist the directors in mentoring graduate engineers to become Chartered and provide support to the Directors in the running of the company.
Thereafter, there will be scope for promotion to full Director dependant on demonstrable success in role.Package for this Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer role;
