Main responsibilities:
- Create and deliver engaging lesson plans and assess performance
- Tailor teaching approach to suit individual learning capacities
- Support young adults who may require 1:1 support
- Build relationships with staff and students
- Encompass a flexible work attitude to align with the schools' requirements
- Organising and leading extra-curricular activities such as school choirs, bands, and music clubs
- Contributing to school events, concerts, and performances throughout the academic year
Qualifications/ Specification:
- Teaching Qualification (QTS): Bachelor of Education/PGCE or an equivalent teaching degree.
- Previous experience working with children and young adults
- Adaptability and flexibility, approaching work with an optimistic educational perspective
- Passionate about music and committed to fostering a creative and inclusive learning environment
- Skilled in playing one or more musical instruments, with the ability to teach practical music as well as theory
