Are you a Software Engineering Leader with expertise in Medical Imaging?

The company are one of the most exciting innovators transforming Diagnostic Imaging. They have developed a cloud based SaaS product integrated with AI, to achieve enhanced clinical outcomes for patients. This company has exceptional financial backing and truly disruptive technology that is now commercially approved and available on the market in the EU, with strong partnerships formed already, they are poised for rapid growth and realisation across Europe, as well as expansion to the US. They are looking for an Engineering Leader to take their products and team forward, managing a team of Software Developers, Site Reliability Engineers, Testers, and Product Managers. Your role will be to collaborate with the Executive Team; CEO, Chief Scientific Officer, Chief Medical Officer etc, to lead the development of these Medical Imaging Software products, grow the engineering team, deliver robust technical infrastructure and maximise process efficiencies to drive exciting product launches.
Responsibilities:

  1. Build, retain, and motivate a growing engineering team with diverse skillsets (software development, SRE, testing, project management).
  2. Own the product roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality, innovative medical devices.
  3. Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from strategy and development to launch and maintenance.
  4. Manage the engineering budget to achieve product goals.
  5. Implement a robust software development process compliant with medical device regulations (ISO 13485, ISO-IEC
  6. Champion information security (ISO through design, penetration testing, and secure coding practices.
  7. Lead product management, managing backlog prioritization and stakeholder inputs for frequent releases.
  8. Drive the adoption of best practices (agile methodologies, continuous improvement) in software engineering and product development.
  9. Design and lead software integration with external vendors (PACS, EMR) and business partners.
  10. Manage translation, user interface, and user documentation, adhering to human factors engineering principles and usability testing.
  11. Collaborate with leadership to align engineering objectives with the company's growth plans.
  12. Champion scalable and robust engineering processes to support company expansion.
  13. Communicate engineering strategy to stakeholders and the board.
  14. Oversee the AWS cloud infrastructure for development, testing, production, and continuous integration/deployment.

    Experience Requirements:
    Over 7 years experience in Leadership in Medical Imaging. Deep understanding of one medical imaging modality; MRI, PET, Ultrasound, CT. Proven experience in developing software solutions for the medical imaging field. Built and led high-performing product development teams across the entire lifecycle. Experience managing software development, UI/UX/workflow design, testing, SaaS security, and PACS/EMR integration. Worked with Cloud based SaaS (ideally AWS). Ideally some familiarity with Ai / ML for diagnosis.
