Explore the opportunityWe are seeking a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of girls' PE to join this established, progressive and well-resourced PE department. The PE Department has state-of-the-art facilities comprising a four-badminton-court sports hall, fitness suite and dance studio, in addition to a multi-use games area and multiple netball/tennis hardcourt areas. A commitment to the development of creative and engaging teaching across KS3, GCSE and BTEC L3 is essential.
You will be an outstanding practitioner of PE, with in-depth subject knowledge across a wide range of activities, able to use your energy, enthusiasm, creativity and flair to inspire our students. You will show an excellent commitment to raising attainment through extra-curricular activities.
In addition, you will join our Inclusion team as Head of Learning to our Year 11 students, line managing an Assistant Head of Learning, as well as a tutor team. As a team, you will ensure all students get the best possible pastoral care throughout their time at Highcrest, sharing responsibility for the learning and personal development of all students. You will also work closely with our Heads of Department, analysing data to ensure all students maximise their potential.
This part of your role includes leading and monitoring a tutor time programme and organising and monitoring Life Lessons, as well as taking a strategic lead to ensure the students display the highest level of attainment, attendance, punctuality and behaviour throughout school.
