Due to continued growth, our sustainable biotech client is seeking an Events & Communications Manager to join the marketing department. The role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities aimed at enhancing brand presence and driving engagement through strategic event planning and targeted communication efforts. You must have previous experience in events management, and be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to support a fast-growth company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute integrated event plans aligned with our overarching marketing strategy and KPIs.
  • Identify and evaluate pertinent events for company participation, overseeing bookings and submissions with a focus on maximizing brand representation.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and collateral at each event, meticulously crafting pre and post-event communication strategies to optimize ROI.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Development to facilitate effective lead capture and follow-up initiatives.
  • Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities within the event space, leveraging customer relationships to maximize impact.
  • Spearhead the development and implementation of comprehensive communication plans in alignment with our marketing strategy and KPIs.
  • Formulate and execute PR strategies targeting trade, consumer, and employee audiences, liaising with external agencies to manage inbound and outbound PR requests effectively.
  • Drive Account-Based Marketing (ABM) communication initiatives, overseeing the development of targeted content such as reports and whitepapers.
  • Take ownership of our awards strategy, crafting compelling submissions to secure industry recognition.
  • Conduct thorough competitor analysis within the communications and events domains.
  • Provide support to the broader marketing team on various projects as required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in event management and communications, preferably within the B2B technology sector, encompassing conferences, expos, webinars, and speaking engagements.
  • Demonstrable expertise in B2B communications, including PR, report writing, and whitepaper development.
  • Strong writing skills coupled with keen attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Account-Based Marketing principles, either through direct experience or exposure within ABM-focused organizations.
  • Track record of successful campaign management, including budget oversight and ROI analysis.
  • Excellent communication and networking abilities, complemented by strong teamwork and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive individual with a positive attitude, thriving in fast-paced environments and willing to dive into tasks hands-on.
  • Ability to comprehend and articulate the value proposition of science-led products and technologies.
  • Bonus points for candidates with a background in science or technology.
