Finance Business Partner/Financial Controller (Daily Rate Contract)

Venn Group is representing a global banking institution based in London, seeking to strengthen its Financial Control team. We are looking for a highly skilled Finance Business Partner/Financial Controller for a daily rate contract opportunity. This role is ideal for a professional with extensive experience in financial control within the banking sector.

Role Overview

As a Finance Business Partner/Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing strategic financial insights. You will collaborate with various departments to drive financial performance and support business decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain financial control frameworks, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely resolution of audit issues.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying trends and variances.
  • Support senior management with financial reporting and presentations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner or Financial Controller within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS, financial control principles, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting tools and software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
