Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled CAD Technician to join our clients team and assist in the preparation of detailed drawings and plans for their civil and structural engineering projects. The successful candidate will work closely with the engineering team to produce accurate and high-quality technical drawings using CAD software. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic and supportive environment while working on a diverse range of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineers to understand project requirements and specifications.
  • Produce detailed drawings and plans using CAD software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Prepare structural drawings, site plans, and construction details for a variety of projects.
  • Review drawings to identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation and reports as required.
  • Maintain organised project files and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Qualification in Civil Engineering (HND, HNC, BSc, BEng) is advantageous
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) with a strong understanding of drafting principles and techniques.
  • Experience in civil and structural engineering drafting preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate drawings.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations is an asset.
