We are looking for a Data Platform Engineer, someone who can deliver operational excellence and stability in our data platforms that underpin the services we deliver for our customers.

You'll be part of the team helping to build strong, collaborative relationships with architects, operations, and engineering teams. You'll also play a key role in change management.

As well as the day-to-day you will also have input into the design and delivery of our next generation hybrid cloud products.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a wider technical team that will help define the future of hospitality both in the UK and abroad.

Responsibilities will involve:-

Implement and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available data platforms within our datacentre and public cloud environments.Build and continually improve tooling, monitoring, and security controls.Own the data platform aspects of DR plans and processes.Continually improve maintenance and patching proceduresContribute to a culture where automate, tool and document is the normParticipate in on-call cover and Incident ResponseWho you are

You should have had a background in highly available database services having spent at least some of your career as a member of a fast-paced production engineering or database administration team.

We'd like you to have experience in design, implementation and day-to-day running of enterprise level data platforms, data lake concepts and data handling.

We'd also like you to have experience of solid monitoring and tuning skills in highly available transactional or API-centric environments. Along with experience of working with large-scale, uptime-centric services.

Data protection, security, and data integrity proceduresComfortable in hands-on and PowerShell administration, automation, and tooling in complex provisioning and deployment scenariosQuick to spot opportunities in new capabilities, a fast learner with a passion for building and sharing knowledge.A self-starter with a passion for technology and problem solving.Organised, with a safe pair of hands and attention to detail.Additionally, the following skill areas would be advantageous:·Administrative experience in Microsoft SQL server, Azure SQLAdministrative experience in AtlasDB by MongoDBExperience in a Software as a Service, Managed Services Provider (MSP), multi-tenanted or multi-site environment.What we value
