Element has an opportunity for a new Assistant Accountant to join our growing Global Business Services team based in Edinburgh. Supporting across our expanding GL team, this is a fantastic opportunity to embark on and develop your Accountancy career within our marketing leading, global TIC business.

Month-end management accounts preparationReview and posting of accruals & prepaymentsPayroll, sales adjustmentsReview, challenge & posting of finance manager journalsUpload of P&Ls, Working Capital and Aged Debtors information into BOARD (Grp reporting system) and ensuring reconciliation to GLReview month end reconciliations (incl Net Sales)Capital projects approval tracking and expenditure reportingProvide support to, GL Accountant, Senior Management Accountant and Finance Manager, as requiredProvide monthly reporting and analysis to Sector businesses and labs as requiredProvide KPI monitoring and reporting for the Reporting teamSupport of internal / external audit processes & ensure an effective control environmentAd hoc duties as and when required to support ESS finance applications and initiatives
Degree or studying towards professional qualification in accounting desirableGood systems and accounting experience preferredD365 experience desirable (although training will be provided)Teamwork and effective communication within a teamSelf-starter, works own initiative and proactiveSelf-confident in their own ability and in their accounting knowledgeAttention to detail especially regarding GL transactionsPositive, can-do attitude
