Salary: Grade 7 Point 15 to Point 19 £27,803 to £29,777 per annum £14.41 to £15.43 per hour

About The Role:

To work as part of a team assisting in the delivery of the Councils Responsive Maintenance and Planned Maintenance Service by carrying out repair and maintenance work on Corporate properties and related assets.

About You:

NVQ / CITB 2 year qualification in carpentry. To carry out all work normally accepted within the building industry as that of a carpenter to Council related assets. This can also include varied and complex situations including being asked to attend an emergency and having to leave the current working area safe until your return. Good understanding of industry standards and good practice plus how to apply these in the work environment.

To diagnose the cause of the majority of property defects and determine the appropriate solution. Ability to work alone, or as part of a team

What you will do:

Attend properties where repair issues have been reported or identified, consider what is necessary and proportionate in the circumstances, determine the appropriate remedial works necessary, order materials and complete the work as required and convey this information to the supervisory team.
