We are currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our teaching team as Head of Department - Computing & IT. The successful candidate will lead and teach within the Computing and IT department, ensuring that all students make excellent progress and achieve well across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. As the Head of Computing and IT, you will not only lead the department but also be responsible for teaching Computing and IT.

This role is ideal for an experienced teacher who has QTS, and seeking the next step in their career, transitioning into middle leadership. The successful candidate will have a passion for both teaching and leadership, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate both students and colleagues.

Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership for the department, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.Develop and implement rigorous and engaging schemes of work that promote high standards of teaching and learning.Collaborate closely with departmental colleagues to share best practices and resources, fostering a supportive and cohesive team environment.Utilise our modern, purpose-built facilities and equipment to enhance the teaching and learning experience for students.Monitor student progress closely and implement targeted intervention strategies where necessary to support student achievement.Contribute to the wider life of the school by participating in extracurricular activities and events.
