The Opportunity
Programme Manager
We are currently looking for a Programme Manager to join our expanding team. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that projects are planned, resourced, and reported on effectively, ensuring high quality standards, and nurturing enduring partnerships.
What you'll do
As Programme Manager, you'll support our teams to track resource allocation, project progress, and impact across the business, identifying and resolving issues as needed. Every day is different, but key responsibilities you can expect to accomplish include:
- Project Management: Ensure projects are planned, resourced, and executed to meet objectives. Identify and resolve resource conflicts and gaps, implement change control processes, and produce project reports. Collaborate with AD Strategic Programmes for performance management.
- Communications & Client Relationship: Provide stakeholders with clear, timely information and handle negotiations and contentious situations.
- Reporting: Set up and validate project reporting, analyse trends, and support Strategic Programmes objectives by making judgements on complex issues.
- Frameworks & Methodologies: Contribute to the design and maintenance of standards, processes and offer guidance on best practices.
- Project Tracking (Financial): Oversee project financial forecasting and budget management, resource scheduling, and provide management information.
- Resource Management: Work across cross-functional teams to refine project estimates and ensure stakeholders are informed of deviations.
- Governance: Assist in project prioritisation reviews, and ensure projects are appropriately set up and prioritised with each approved Schedule of Work.
About you
Programme Manager are pivotal to ensuring that projects are meticulously planned, resourced, and reported on effectively. Qualified candidates must meet a set of criteria we deem essential for those interested in the Programme Manager role:- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Project Management) preferred.
- 5+ years' experience in project management or a related role, with familiarity in project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall and the project lifecycle.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and requirements is desired but not essential.
- Thrives in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment, adept at managing multiple projects and tasks in a matrix environment while adhering to an agreed schedule.
- Highly motivated, energetic, enthusiastic, committed, and inclusive team player.
- Skilled in aligning projects with business objectives, negotiating, and problem solving.
- Proficient in project management software such as MS Project, Trello, Asana, MS Excel, as well as Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems such as SharePoint.
- Project Management certification is a bonus.
