Experience

Ultimately, an outstanding Head of Business Studies should be able to build rapport with students and demonstrate excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Experience in:

Delivery of engaging, teaching and Learning in digital skillsOffering a high standard of learning for all studentsWorking with students that struggle with learning to improve their employment prospectsFinalising student's personal action plansProviding advice and guidance to others to progress them towards employmentLiaising with individuals from diverse backgroundsDelivering support on confidence & motivation and CV writingSkills/Abilities and KnowledgeExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with individuals at all levels of the school with tact and diplomacyAbility to complete paperwork in line with contractual requirements where appropriateAbility to audit and monitor student progressAbility to work under pressure and adhere to multiple deadlinesAn excellent standard of verbal communicationThe ability to work with trust and autonomyTo display strong motivational, customer service and organisational skillsTo be competent in the use of technology with excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel and other digital platformsTo be an enthusiastic and flexible team player with high expectations of self and othersTo have strong listening, persuading and influencing skillsTo be approachable, patient, understanding, open-minded, impartial and non-judgementalTo be able to maintain confidentiality at all timesHave an understanding of Equal Opportunities policies and practiceDemonstrates an awareness, experience and commitment to protecting and safeguarding young people. The successful candidate will be joining the school at an exciting time. Hampton High is a mixed comprehensive school, which was judged "good" by Ofsted in 2019. The school is now full throughout KS3 with a waiting list of families. We are committed to real inclusion and are proud of our newly opened Specialist Resource Provision for ASD students.
