Based in Barnsley/WFH 2 days per week after training period
Suitable for either a fresh graduate with no/little spec writing experience or an experienced technologist with 2+ years specification writing experience
Working as part of a team reporting into a Senior Specification Technologist, this role involves writing and maintaining finished product specifications for products supplied by Premier Foods.
- Collation, validation, and accurate input of data into Retailer and Premier Foods specification databases.
- Responsibility for generating pack copy data and reviewing artwork.
- Maintenance of data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Do you offer:
- Current experience within Food Industry and/or several years specification writing experience.
- Ideally a Food Science/Technology Degree/Qualification.
- IT Competency.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines.

As a Specifications Technologist you will...
- Create product specifications for various customers and ensure compliance with legislation.
- Process, check, and approve specifications.
- Ensure accurate information in specifications and product labels.
- Liaise with different departments to ensure product compliance.
- Answer technical enquiries regarding ingredient specifications.
- Provide reports, complete questionnaires, and maintain databases.
