We're excited to offer an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Headteacher to join our Secondary school team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will lead on the monitoring and evaluation of teaching and learning across the whole school and be a leading professional, actively promoting effective teaching and learning practices to academic success across the school.

The Assistant Headteacher will work with the Headteacher to provide leadership and management to support the teaching and learning to ensure quality of education for all pupils is at least good. In partnership, they will be responsible for ensuring the educational success of Heron Hall's students and the Academy's development plan.

The successfull candidate will have an understanding of the features of effective pedagogy, how students learn and strategies to improve performance. You will have experience of implementation, monitoring and tracking of behaviour systems and high level skills as a classroom practitioner.
