This is an exciting opportunity for a primary specialist or SEND specialist to join Monkton Wood Academy to work across the Learning Support, Cedar Centre, English and Maths Teams. You will be delivering the English and Maths curriculum to students who are not meeting age related expectations, linked to a range of learning needs.

Full Time, Permanent, M1 – UPS3 available from 1 September 2024, plus SEN1 allowance

We are a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students' learning. To be successful in post, you will have experience of working with KS2 students and students with additional needs including SEND. The role encompasses providing equity of opportunity and an excellent educational experience through high expectations and the removal of barriers to learning for students.

You will be used to planning and consistently delivering high quality lessons and will be a strong communicator with the ability to embrace change and motivate colleagues and students. A well-qualified specialist, holding QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree, you will have the ability to teach English and Maths to KS3. We look for professionals who have excellent class management skills and have high expectations of work and behaviour.

Training is both local and/or delivered through our excellent stand-alone training facility at the CLF Institute. For teachers, the CLF Institute aims to provide a continuum of development through each career stage from initial teacher training (ITT), for Early Career Teachers (ECT), recently qualified teachers in their early career development, to successive stages of leadership through to Headship and beyond.

What we are looking for:

We look for passionate individuals who want to be a part of transforming education and will make an active contribution to the development of the Cabot Learning Federation and chosen Academy.
