Pertemps West Bromwich are recruiting for a Fab Welder for a Manufacturing company based in Oldbury.

Mig/Mag welding of structural steels to produce fabrications of varying designs.


Hours are 39 p/w with overtime at a time and a third, the position will offer overtime based on workload only.

Rate of £13.00 p/h.

The position offers some flexible working either 7.00am or 8.00am start times. Monday to Friday.


The successful candidate will preferably be trained to coded EN1090 level execution class 2 plus achieve ISO9606 qualification testing of welders/fusion welding, or be able to weld to these standards.


  • Able to operate Mig/Mag machines effectively with an ability to place acceptable structural weld deposit with any defects
  • Must have the ability to measure and dimension accurately using tapes, steel rules, verniers etc
  • Ability to understand production fabrication drawings is an advantage
  • Ability to use various general fabrication plant such as bandsaws, drills, angle grinders etc
  • Able to follow instructions/procedures
  • Reliable/punctual/trustworthy/able to use initiative
  • Good time keeping
  • Able to work safety and keep area tidy
  • Checking the work is the correct quality as per order requirements
  • Able to follow operational and safety procedures
  • Can do attitude
