The firm is multi-service and has a strong client base on both the business and personal side. You will find a client base that has been nurtured and built up over many decades. The breadth and variety of the clients create an interesting and stimulating workload. You will find OMB, HNW individuals, innovative new start-ups, overseas companies setting up shop in the UK, individuals in the public eye, some well-known household name companies, and also your more ordinary run-of-the-mill client.
The firm has a diverse partnership which has created a well-rounded management team of many different strengths and talents. There is good synergy between partners making for a very collaborative approach between departments, ensuring that all business opportunities are seized and clients are offered a well-rounded service. The firm is well-run, agile, and lean. They have great finances and a healthy balance sheet with good profits posted year after year.
They have an impressive plan for targeted, considered, and strategic growth. This also involves succession planning over the coming 36 months. The firm currently stands at just over 100 members of staff. The firm is agile and able to act swiftly when making business decisions, they are not held back by bureaucracy and corporate red tape often associated with larger practices.

The role
This firm is currently seeking a Employment Partner to join their West End, London office.
The team is busy and due to an influx of new work, they are seeking to hire a new Employment Partner. You will work with the other partners to drive the department forward, whilst mentoring and supporting the more junior members of the team.
The employment department currently consists of a team of three, they work under the litigation department. Litigation is a core focus for the firm. You will work closely with the wider litigation team and corporate and commercial departments. The firm has recently had a large uptick in instructions as a result of multiple client wins, and new partner hires.
You will work as part of this growing, professional, and vibrant employment team. You will find that you will work across a broad range of industry sectors which will make for an interesting caseload.
They work with many household names and well-known public figures, but they also work with smaller and large publishers, hospitality, media, technology companies, app developers, OMB businesses, and foreign companies that are coming to London to set up shop.
You will deal with both contentious and non-contentious employment work, both for companies and individuals. The caseload will include but not be limited to; Settlement agreements, dismissals, restrictive covenants, senior executive, discrimination, disciplinary, restructuring, TUPE and corporate support.
Requirements
You will be an Employment Solicitor with at least eight years PQE (there is no upper limit regarding the amount of experience)You should have experience of developing and winning new businessYou will have had good experience dealing with a broad palette of employment workExperience in mentoring and leading more junior lawyers is to advantage but is not essential.Salary is competitive and negotiable depending on your background.
