About Small Heath Leadership Academy
Small Heath Leadership Academy in Birmingham is a secondary school for 11 to 18 year olds. We joined Star Academies in 2018 and, like all Star schools, we have a leadership specialism.
The school was rated 'good' in all four areas of the inspection framework during its inspection in May 2022.

What the role involves
As Assistant Principal you will be responsible for leading the school's pastoral team to ensure pupils' wellbeing and readiness for learning.You will lead the implementation of processes to support strong attendance and positive attitudes. You will be responsible for the maintaining a robust safeguarding culture. You will spearhead the school's enrichment programme which seeks to support young people's wellbeing by widening participation in broad-ranging extra-curricular activities.
