Casual Field Trainers – Wellbeing and Resilience

£14.24 per hour with travel expenses

Home based with occasional travel throughout UK

About Us

The RAF (Royal Air Force) Association has a clear objective: to help sustain a resilient and empowered RAF community, including serving personnel, RAF veterans and their families. Through our sector leading services, we offer friendship to the isolated and lonely, sheltered housing for those who want to remain proudly independent and childcare to serving personnel on RAF stations. We work closely with partner organisations, including other military charities, and have a strong bond with our donors and supporters, giving us the confidence to deliver for our beneficiaries when they need us.

With thousands of members across the UK and further afield, plus hundreds of dedicated employees and volunteers, we have the network and experience needed for a personal one-to-one approach. We work together to make sure no one is ever left behind.

About the Team

Our team of Casual Field Trainers are instrumental in delivering our sector leading virtual and Face to Face courses, currently primarily the Finding it Tough courses, although there are opportunities to become involved in the delivery of other training.

Finding it Tough

We recognise that being part of the RAF community sometimes places a strain on everyday life and we all need a little help from time to time. Our three 'Finding it Tough' mental health wellbeing courses are specially tailored for each audience (veterans, families and others supporting the RAF community). We welcome people who want to support their friends, family members and colleagues to spot any signs that they may be struggling, as well as gaining some tips for managing their own wellbeing and resilience. Our courses are delivered both online and Face to Face on RAF stations, and other locations, across the UK, which may occasionally involve overnight stays, it is therefore vital that you are able to travel as part of the role. (A UK driving licence is an essential requirement)

About You

If you're an experienced trainer in the wellbeing sector and looking for a great work/life balance then this role could be a great fit. Whilst the role is casual, we can let you know of upcoming course dates and locations well in advance. Accomplished in delivering interactive training using a range of methods and strategies, you will also have experience of delivering accredited qualification courses. We need you to be highly proficient in IT so that you can confidently online and face to face courses. We will encourage your input into amending and revising programmes to adapt to changes to keep our content fresh, appropriate and, most of all, an engaging experience.
