Job title: Lift Supervisor (Lift Activity Lead)

Location: Scotstoun & Govan

Salary: £32,656 depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

  • Working as part of an experienced team to ensure lifting operations comply with the law and lifting regulations whilst prioritising the health and safety of employees and of all those affected by the lifting operations
  • Coordinating and supervising all lifting activities in accordance with the BAE Systems PI12349, the Lift Packs and RAMS
  • Providing coaching, training, supervision, guidance, and monitoring of all crane operations within their dedicated area and addressing any issues or concerns
  • Overseeing the movement of all lifting operations in their dedicated area and ensuring safety and effectiveness of the team and all lifting equipment being used
  • Briefing/Debriefing all lifting team members including lessons learned being captured and reported to the Appointed Person
  • Taking suitable measures to rectify unsafe conditions and ensuring only registered operators and appointed staff are involved in any lifting operation

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Excellent knowledge of LOLER Regulations 1998 and BS 7121
  • CPCS Crane/Lift Supervisor - Blue Card
  • CPCS Slinger Signaller - Blue Card
  • Able to mentor/coach a team

Desirable:

  • IOSH/NEBOSH certificate
  • SSSTS CSCS Gold Card

The Lifting and Fleeting Operations team:

As a vital team member, you will engage in diverse operations from basic to complex lifting also supporting fleeting activities within various areas through both sites. Your role includes mentoring apprentices and focusing on an eight ship programme spanning over a decade, ensuring dynamic and varied tasks both indoors and outdoors.
