Head of Employee Relations

London, Greater London, United Kingdom Practicus Full time

My client is an independent healthcare provider who are going through a time of significant and exciting growth.

Considering applying for this job Do not delay, scroll down and make your application as soon as possible to avoid missing out.

My client requires an experienced interim Head of Employee Relations to work with a small team of HRBPs and advisers to improve ER responses to a number of cases. The role initially requires the Head of ER to lead and up-skill the team as well as help them to prioritise the cases in terms of risk. The first 3 to 4 months of the assignment will focus on the existing and new cases they face. Thereafter, the assignment will focus on improving employee relations across the organisation and ensuring a constructive and collaborative working environment is once again a reality.

In terms of background, this is certainly an assignment for an ER specialist and ideally one who worked with or for the NHS. Other public sector backgrounds may be considered if the roles have involved a TUPE'd workforce and ER challenges around that change. My client also needs someone who has worked in unionised environments before and who is used to negotiating with unions. They need someone who can be tough when needed, but who is also excellent at conflict resolution, coaching and facilitation. In terms of professional training, they need someone who is MCIPD qualified or who has equivalent demonstrable professional HR knowledge, skills and experience.

My client requires an immediate start and the assignment's duration is 12 months. They are offering an assignment rate of £450/£480pd inside IR35. Home working is permitted, but the nature of the role means an on-site present in necessary.
