To be involved in providing support to the Skills Trainers and Employment Advisors, assisting with paperwork and data entry, referring participants for assistance with childcare and benefits, maintaining effective relationships with participants and employers, managing finance and quality in service delivery, attending training and meetings, adhering to company policies and legislation, promoting the company's activities, ensuring adherence to safeguarding legislation, and working towards continuous performance improvement. The role also involves undertaking other duties as required.

2.0 Professional Responsibilities

1. To provide support to the Restart Skills Trainers and Employment Advisors as necessary.

2. To assist the Restart team in maintaining contact with participants and maintaining effective working relationships with participants and employers.

3. To ensure paperwork is completed as required by quality and contractual requirements, undertaking post-employment tracking, including data entry input as necessary.

4. To signpost to training opportunities or to IWS Advisor for the participant whilst in employment when appropriate.

5. To assist with creating effective relationships with the local business community, public, and voluntary sector organisations in order to secure job placements and employment opportunities.

6. To liaise with the Skills Trainers/IWS Advisors/Employment Advisors in order to find solutions to any concerns or problems occurring with regards to the individual's attendance or employment.

7. Conduct three-way warm handover meeting between JCP coach, participant and complete MI system data requirements.

8. To conduct initial meetings with Restart participants, ensuring full and comprehensive records are maintained in ready for allocation to Employment Advisor.

9. To support with the booking of, and management of daily, and weekly interventions to support participants on the Restart Scheme. Liaise with Skills Trainers and Employment Advisors to ensure effectiveness of sessions and 75% attendance rates.

10. To ensure that participant paperwork and files are maintained in line with contractual and quality compliance requirements.

11. To assist in the management of finance, ensuring that all financial transactions undertaken are in accordance with the company's financial regulations.

12. To reconcile the participants spend logs at the close of each working day, ensuring all supporting evidence has been uploaded to the relevant systems.

13. To provide support in the preparation of applications as may be required to secure external funding to support the company's activities.

14. To update information on the company's management information system as required by contractual and quality standards.

15. To assist in the management of quality in the delivery of services, ensuring appropriate courses of action are developed, implemented and monitored where service delivery falls below the standards required in external contracts therefore ensuring contract compliance.

16. To manage self-development and own performance and to provide effective support for your colleagues.

17. To participate in training, audits and meetings in relation to the achievement of the Business Continuity Plan. To adhere to the Business Continuity Plan, ensuring that action is taken in relation to the framework when required.

18. To attend training and meetings and adhere to the Quality standards held by Steps to Work and its partners, including ISO 9001, Investors in People, Investors in Diversity, disability two ticks and Ofsted.

19. To ensure that your own actions and those of your team reduce risks to health and safety and to work in line with the company's policies and procedures with regards to Health and Safety.

20. To ensure awareness of the company's Equal Opportunities policy and that your actions meet with the aims and objectives of this policy.

21. To adhere to company policies and legislation with regards to the security plan.

22. To ensure awareness and adherence to safeguarding legislation and the company's safeguarding policy and procedures.

23. To work with marketing to ensure effective promotion of the company's activities and to promote the services of Steps to Work.

24. Ensure that there is a of culture of continuous performance improvement embedded in all projects and programmes.

25. Undertake other such duties as requested which are reasonable and appropriate to the role including covering Reception during lunch or annual leave.

Skills/Qualifications required Essential/Desirable

1. Experience in the use of administrative systems including basic financial experience. Essential

2. Previous use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access to an intermediate level. Essential

3. Ability to work on own initiative Essential

4. Previous experience of liaising with external organisations/partners/participants. Essential

5. Ability to set up and maintain accurate filing systems including computerised systems. Essential

6. Ability to input data onto computerised system Essential

7. Experience of dealing with participant queries Essential

8. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Essential

9. Ability to demonstrate effective listening and verbal communication skills. Essential

10. Experience of ensuring files and paperwork is ready for internal and external audits. Essential

Qualifications

11. NVQ 2 Business Administration or equivalent. Desirable
