Job Description

What is the opportunity?

Responsible for assisting in the enterprise wide Statutory Transfer Pricing (STP) Policy Management and Compliance efforts based on RBC's STP policies as part of RBC's STP Centre of Excellence (CoE) to ensure that RBC satisfies all global STP requirements consistently and comprehensively.

What will you do?

  • A primary role of managing and creating STP transfer pricing documentation in compliance with the RBC Transfer Pricing Documentation Standards.
  • Manage the centralized administration and storage of STP transfer pricing documentation.
  • Assist in the implementation of processes for the identification of new intercompany transactions and the documentation of new global STP policies and methodologies in collaboration with RBC Taxation.
  • Provides audit support to satisfy tax authority STP requirements.
  • Provides advice on and recommends transaction specific RBC STP policies to the Director, STP Policy Management & Compliance.
  • Assists RBC Taxation in responding to tax audit queries arising from tax return information related to transfer pricing and related party transactions.
  • Assists in the implementation of new transfer pricing guidance and legislation.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Excellent understanding of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development's (OECD) Transfer Pricing Guidelines.
  • Solid Transfer Pricing experience preferably with major accounting firms
  • Team player with exceptional verbal and written communication skills that can thrive in an environment with competing priorities and incomplete information.
  • Organized and process oriented individual with an ability to work as part of a developing team, and motivate and develop team members.
  • Displays leadership and collaborative skills

Nice-to-have

  • Financial Institution experience or similar global exposure
  • Working knowledge of financial and managerial accounting systems within RBC or another global financial institution would be an asset.
  • Master Degree Business
