The Role
This is a full time, 37 hours per week position, working term time only - 39 weeks of the year. Salary: Support Staff Scale 4-7 Outer London + Pension Scheme. Hours are 8am-4pm. The pro rata salary will be £ £23,959.59 depending on experience.
We are looking for the successful candidate to start as soon as possible.
We are seeking a caring, child centred individual to support and nurture our students to co-ordinate and address the barriers to learning for either an individual pupil or a targeted group of pupils in order to enable them to achieve their full potential.
As a member of our Pastoral Support Team, you will be working with a range of young people, including those who may have social, emotional or mental health needs.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is self-motivated and has a passion for supporting learning by establishing supportive relationships with students, helping to raise their self-esteem and develop a positive attitude to learning within a secondary Academy. You will relish the opportunity to work with young people in a vibrant and dynamic learning environment.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, patient and able to use their own initiative. The role involves working directly with students, supporting them to overcome particular obstacles to learning in relation to pastoral, behaviour or attendance issues. Previous experience in a relatable role within an educational establishment is desirable but not essential.
