We are currently seeking an experienced Complex Care Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our dedicated team in Newmarket.
Key Responsibilities: As a Complex Care HCA at Sirona Medical, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, person-centered care to patients with complex needs. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
PEG Feeding: Administering nutrition and medications via percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG).
Tracheostomy Care: Managing and maintaining tracheostomy tubes, ensuring airway safety.
Wound Dressing: Applying and changing wound dressings, monitoring for signs of infection, and promoting healing.
Medication Administration: Administering prescribed medications accurately and safely.
Stoma Care: Providing comprehensive stoma care, including changing stoma bags and maintaining hygiene.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Health Care Assistant, specifically in complex care settings.
Competency in PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, wound dressing, medication administration, and stoma care.
Relevant healthcare qualifications and training.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
Compassionate, patient-focused approach.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
