This is a great opportunity for an Applications Engineer, Contract Engineer, Project Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or Building Services Engineer with experience of working on commercial ventilation projects. Package:

  • Salary 35,000 to 45,000 DOE
  • Full-time, permanent position
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Hybrid working available
  • 33 days holiday
  • 5% employer pension, you put in 3%

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and develop appropriate ventilation solutions
  • Conduct technical assessments, perform calculations, and analyze data to determine optimal equipment sizing and specifications
  • Prepare and present technical proposals, including system layouts, equipment selections, and performance estimates
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the installation and operation of our products, working closely with the engineering and service departments
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to ventilation equipment
  • Collaborate with the product development team to provide valuable feedback for product improvement and new product development initiatives

Requirements:

  • Formal engineering qualifications such as a degree, diploma, apprenticeship or equivalent
  • Solid understanding of HVAC principles, ventilation systems, and air diffusion
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the ventilation, HVAC, or related industry is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical data and perform calculations
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong project management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites for project installations and support
  • A customer-focused mindset and the ability to build strong relationships with clients
