Location: Egham, Surrey, TW20

We are looking for a passionate Early Years Assistant to join our Bright Horizons Englefield Green Nursery. This role is part time working Monday to Friday 10am-2pm or similar hours.

The lovely 72-place setting is Ofsted rated 'Good' and features well-resourced rooms, each one with direct access to their large garden and outdoor play area which the children can enjoy in all weathers for outdoor learning.

The nursery is situated on the grounds of the Royal Holloway University, with free onsite parking, shops within walking distance and a short drive from Egham town centre.

*Choose from a travel bonus of £75 per month every month (available to anyone travelling 5 miles or more to work at Englefield Green)- OR a £1000 welcome bonus (T&C's apply)*

What you'll be doing

  • Plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones.
  • Develop and maintain strong parent/ carer partnerships
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding
  • Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment

What we're looking for

  • Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
  • Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, or similar)
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
