Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Partnership:Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Employee Relations:Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to both employees and managers.
  • Talent Management:Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and retention processes to ensure we attract and retain top talent.
  • Performance Management:Implement and manage performance appraisal systems, ensuring clear communication of expectations and regular feedback.
  • Training & Development:Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Policy Development:Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Change Management:Support the business through organisational changes, providing expertise on best practices and minimising disruption.
  • HR Metrics & Reporting:Track and analyse HR metrics to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.

Key Requirements

  • Experience:Minimum of 5 years of HR generalist experience, preferably within the construction or related industry.
  • Education:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. CIPD qualification is highly desirable.
  • Communication Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Interpersonal Skills:Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and support stakeholders at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving:Proactive and solutions-oriented approach to addressing HR challenges.
  • Knowledge:In-depth knowledge of employment law and best HR practices.
  • Technology:Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
