Capstan Operator

Pertemps West Bromwich are currently recruiting for a Capstan Setter / Operator to join a well-known client based in Wednesbury.

As a Capstan Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining capstan machines to produce high-quality products.

You will ensure that all operations are performed in accordance with company safety standards and production schedules.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Set up and operate Capstan machines to perform various tasks such as cutting, drilling, threading, and forming
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and adjust machines as necessary
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to machine to ensure optimal performance
• Record production data and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with other team members

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience operating or setting a Capstan machine is preferrable
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is essential
• Strong problem solving skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively

Hours:
7am - 4pm from Monday to Thursday
7am - 12pm on Friday

Pay:
£11.44 per hour

This is a temporary position with a view to go permanent after a successful trial period.
