About the Role:


Are you a NQ solicitor with a keen interest in construction law? BCL Legal are working with a top tier Legal 500 ranked, growing law firm who are seeking a Construction Solicitor to join their office in Essex.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support on a range of construction law matters, including contentious and noncontentious work such as advising on and drafting JCT contracts, NEC contracts, bespoke contracts, standard form contracts, arbitration, adjudication, mediation, tech and construction court claims, LADs, Party Wall Act matters, warranty claims and planning disputes.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts and related documents.
  • Assist senior solicitors with complex cases and transactions.
  • Manage a diverse caseload with appropriate supervision.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant legal developments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Recently qualified solicitor with a specialism or strong interest in construction law.
  • Excellent academic background and completion of a reputable training contract.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and clientfocused approach.
  • Team player with a willingness to learn and grow within the firm.
