Job title: Senior Engineer -Systems Engineering (Integration)

The successful candidate would be required to travel to Barrow-In-Furness for an initial training period.

What you'll be doing:

  • Ensuring technical activities are performed in accordance with engineering procedures and that appropriate levels of internal and independent governance are applied
  • Developing, where needed, engineering standards and processes to demonstrate SQEP and compliance
  • Deputise for the Principal Engineer when necessary and as part of personal development
  • Support integration activities in the Barrow Integration Qualification Facility
  • Support testing activities in the IQF and provide SQEP input where requested

Your skills and experiences:

  • Degree level qualification in relevant STEM subject (Engineering/ Physics/ Maths/ Science)
  • Knowledge of the system engineering lifecycle with ability to apply good systems engineering practices to their work
  • Experience and knowledge gained through working with C&I systems
  • Understanding of relevant engineering standards, including safety and environmental regulations

The AVC Integration team:

This role will provide you with the chance to work on a complex engineering programme of national importance, as well as excellent future career progression and development opportunities.

You, as a member of the AVC Integration Team, will be responsible for the delivery of the AVC System, supporting the development of the functional design, its implementation and subsequent integration (through verification and validation), through to the test & commissioning phases. An ideal opportunity to gain accreditation towards Chartered Engineering status. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
