Faculty / Directorate

The DMU Education Academy is De Montfort University's new educational development and enhancement unit. Applying a strategy-aligned and data-informed approach in all that it does, the Academy supports the delivery of DMU's Empowering University Strategy and Learning for Life Implementation Plan. Our expert developers in academic practice and digital capability work side-by-side at the centre of DMU's impactful and student-focused learning and teaching community.

Role

The successful applicant will play a key role in the effective evaluation of all areas of the Academy's educational enhancement activity. You will work with academic and professional service colleagues to analyse data for the purposes of internal educational enhancement and statutory data reporting. You will work closely with staff working on inclusive education, Access and Participation, and the embedding of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion work within the University.

Ideal Candidate

You will be highly proficient in exploring data in order to solve problems and answer questions, conducting rigorous analyses based on a variety of data tools. Other key skills and attributes required of the successful applicant are:

  • Qualifications or certifications in the use of computer and database systems such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI
  • Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) or commitment to attain this during probation
  • PhD or equivalent professional experience and evidence of CPD in relation to academic evaluation practice
  • Proven experience in the evaluation and monitoring of data to lead to positive outcomes and impact, ideally within a Higher Education setting
  • Commitment to working on campus for three days per week, with two days remote working.

£42,978 to £54,395 per annum. Grade G
