Rubicon s client are a high end business providing automation & materials handling solutions across all industries to a global customer base. Due to business growth, the company are now looking for a Controls Engineer to assist all departments in providing excellent service and design support.

As Controls Engineer, you ll be joining a family-centric company that offers great packages including enhanced holiday allowance, staff training programs, career progression and a death in service scheme.

As Controls Engineer, you ll be:

  • Developing PLC software using multiple design platforms such as Flow Charts, Pseudo Code, or Block Diagrams
  • Undertaking site surveys to ensure compliance with company standards of conduct and statutory requirements
  • Creating production designs of dossiers, and detailed electrical, control & instrument schematics drawings
  • Working in accordance with ISO9001 and QA documentation
  • Coordinating deliveries of detailed designs and assisting with quotations for new projects
  • End-to-end project management from conception to completion

To be the next Controls Engineer, you ll have:

  • Over 5 years experience within the industrial (specifically electrical) sector (essential)
  • HNC/HND or degree level qualifications
  • Understanding and knowledge of either Schneider (Codesys), Mitsubishi GX Works 2 / 3 , Siemens PCS 7, Siemens TIA or Rockwell
  • A full UK driving license
  • Experience of using Auto-CAD or EPLAN
  • Software design and implementation experience from a previous role
  • Understanding and experience of implementing Industrial Network Protocols such as Ethernet, ControlNet, Profibus, Profinet and Modbus (desirable)
