What's the purpose of this role?The purpose of the role of Product Group Architect is to commercialize and expand our reduced risk products, and for that we are building and rolling out a new digital platform globally.

Our consumer and retailer engagement digital platforms provide best-in-class experiences through our end-to-end consumer journeys, from product discovery, purchasing, device registration to after sales support.

Product Group Architect is responsible for defining technology and architecture for new capabilities, improving and simplifying current landscape and managing platforms non-functional requirements such as scalability, performance and extensibility along with observability, but not limited to these only.

Role profileAs Product Group Architect for Care, you will be responsible for practices of development, assurance and NFR's across all product teams within your Care Product Group.

You will ensure all phases of software engineering are efficient and operate with maximum agility to delight our consumers and customers.

You will be accountable for defining the Care Product Group's technical roadmap to support the business strategy, guiding the product teams on the new technology and providing technical frameworks.

You will also ensure the implementation of non-functional requirements, as well as technical debt reduction.

Part of your job will also include creation of high-level solution designs, technical improvements' identification & implementation, and technical debt reduction.

You are very experienced on the technical side but also can influence and promote product group architecture to all partners.

You are skilled in change management and horizontal leadership to evolve the practices of a significant team deploying global platforms.

You'll be building the cultural change redefining PMI from within.

Your day-to-day will consist of, but not limited to:

  • Create capabilities roadmap that can be built & maintained within a product-based organization.
  • Set overall standards and direction in the business/technical domain, ensuring the right IT investments are made and elaborate the product group's architecture baseline, target architecture, roadmap covering capabilities, applications, platforms, services, information, data, technologies.
  • In collaboration with Product Managers and Delivery Managers for the Care products, create Product Group's vision and enable Product Teams to deliver value to the customers.
  • Define end-to-end solution architecture, where obligated, for products within the product group, maximising Salesforce and Interaction Management capabilities to address business requirements effectively.
  • Work closely with multi-functional teams to translate business designs into high-level architecture designs, considering factors such as scalability, security, and integration requirements and non-functional requirements.
  • Review low-level design documents and technical specifications produced by development teams, ensuring alignment to architectural guidelines, best practices, and standards.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to development teams to optimize design decisions, improve scalability, maintainability, and performance of the solutions.
  • Drive opportunities to improve architecture (e.g. opportunities to reduce duplication, consolidate applications and platforms, improve operational deficiencies, improve automation, close existing capability gaps, etc.) and take accountability to ensure product group architecture is in line with Security and Compliance policies and procedures.
  • Advise global business owners during business process definition to improve the usage of standard technology solution functionalities.
  • Work with multiple teams to define and improve the DevSecOps framework that must be adopted within your domain.
What is needed to succeed in this Role?

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience or higher in Computer Science or other IT related field.
  • Demonstrated experience working in global IT teams.
  • 5+ years of working as a solution architect or similar roles.
  • A background in software engineering.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in architecting solutions for Salesforce, generally, and Salesforce Service Cloud, specifically.
  • Experience in integrating Salesforce with other systems using a middleware like Mulesoft, Boomi etc.
  • Familiar with interaction management/call center solutions such as Genesys, Twilio, Amazon connect.
  • Strong IT architecture background (processes, data, security, methodologies, frameworks).
  • It will be a big plus, if you will have experience in architecting solutions on AWS as well using Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Using your excellent written and verbal communication skills, you can communicate complex technical concepts and solution designs to non-technical partners in a clear and understandable manner, fostering a shared understanding of the technical direction of the products.
  • You are also able to collaborate closely with product management, engineering, quality assurance, and other partners to ensure alignment and successful execution of product initiatives.
  • Confident with the ability to influence and persuade.
  • Analytical and results focused.
  • Experience of both reacting to and solving problems.
  • An understanding of how complex matrixed organizations operate; global experience is a big advantage

Nice to have:

  • Expertise on modular/composable architecture, evolutionary architecture and working in a product-based setup.
  • Extensive experience delivering solutions within B2C & B2B domain including validated project contributions as a Solution Architect.
  • Validated experience as a consultant, with experience rolling out projects globally.
  • Involved with at least two end-to-end full lifecycle projects.
