We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and exceptional Assistant Headteacher who will play a key role in our dynamic leadership team. The successful candidate will have a clear and ambitious vision to grow and enhance our Sixth Form provision, through promoting a rich and wide curriculum offer that will prepare young people for life in the 21st century.

The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and leadership for behaviour, pastoral support and the quality of education across Key Stage 5 at Rainham Mark Grammar School, striving to ensure our provision is the 6th form of choice in the local area. This will include working supportively and cohesively with school and trust leaders and wider staff to ensure a rigorous, broad, rich and inclusive personal development offer to all our student.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and implement a vision for Rainham Mark Grammar School, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Professional Development Advocacy: Champion a culture of continuous professional growth and improvement among staff, leading by example through personal commitment to ongoing development.Effective Resource Management: Provide strategic direction in resource allocation to optimise teaching quality and student achievement, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.Line Management and Support: Offer guidance and support to department heads and year heads, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment conducive to professional growth and student success.Safeguarding and Student Welfare: Serve as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students and provide leadership during key school events and assemblies, maintaining a visible presence to support the school community.

The ideal candidate will have:
